This was technically not Christmas Eve, but Braelyn and I made a gingerbread house this weekend. Yay for Michael's clearance on all Christmas stuff before Christmas. After taking these pictures Hunter hopped onto the dining room table and ate quite a bit of the candy off it. Luckily we didn't use all the candy and frosting, so we could repair.
Christmas tree! The round ornaments at the bottom are from our Advent/Christmas devotions...Braelyn places an ornament each night and we do family devotions relating to the thing on the ornament.
This wasn't on Christmas Eve either, we did it on the 23rd, but we went to see the lights on the cacti at the Ethel M Chocolate Factory.
They had light up swans or herons or some sort of bird.
Braelyn's favorite blow up the penguins pop out of the top every so often.
An angel
NOW here's Christmas Eve. We took a few pictures before church. We went to church at 4pm so the girls would not be crabby.
In the car on the way to church. When Addison is upset, she clings to everything like she's going to die without it.
Braelyn putting the ornament on the tree (I think--either that or turning on all three ornaments that make sound).
Addison is excited! She has a bit of an obsession with jackets.
Braelyn blowing out the advent wreath we light for our devotions.
Happy Addison before we opened stockings!
Braelyn getting her stuff out of her stocking.
She got twistable crayons, a cup and bath paints.
Addison got a color wonder marker for toddlers, a cup, and bath paints.
Both girls coloring with their new drawing tools.
More coloring.
We had to take a bath, of course, to try out the bath paints. I made the bath paints from a kit I bought. The bottles were a little hard to squeeze so I ended up painting them. This was an A for Addison.
B for Braelyn
Next up, Christmas!
