We had a good (mostly) Fourth. Braelyn was actually sort of excited to shoot off some fireworks this year because I started talking about it a few days early. A few days before the fourth, we lit some smoke bombs and some sparklers, so on the fourth she was ready to do it. During the day we lit off 6 boxes of snakes, a box of smoke bombs, and three packages of snaps. We went to a friend's house for dinner and swimming, and then we went home to try to light off some sparklers and fountains before the big scary fireworks started. We lit off about three ground bloom flowers, a box of sparklers, and two fountains before Braelyn decided that was enough. Better than last year! We then went inside to realize that our air conditioning had given out. The next day we found out that we needed a new unit, so we spent two nights in no AC. The first night was fine, but the second was steamy. Thankfully it rained both nights and it was cloudy and cool (for Vegas) on the 5th, so it only got up to about 90 in the house. Also thankfully, we had already planned to leave for vacation in Salt Lake City on the 6th, and our friend Susan recommended a very affordable company to replace our AC...and handled getting them into the house to get it done the day we got back! Pictures of Salt Lake City to come.
Here are pictures of the girls, not sure why Nate didn't get any of Braelyn doing sparklers...oh well.
